This week’s giveaway will have 4 winners! Larch Hanson aka the Seaweed Man of Maine Seaweed LLC has generously donated some of his lovely seaweed to give away to 4 lucky winners! Winners will be selected to win one of the following 4 packages of seaweed: Longicruris Kelp, Alaria, Digitata Kelp or the Soup Mix blend. Opening up a bag of his amazing seaweed invites the ocean right into your home as the fresh, salty smells drift in. So fresh you can almost feel the seaspray!
Maine Seaweed LLC is a family owned business on the coast of Maine, 25 miles northeast of Acadia National Park, located on quiet Gouldsboro Bay. They hand harvest and dry Atlantic seaweeds and sea vegetables. Larch, the founder, has stayed at the work for four decades. He takes apprentices and educates customers. People are welcome to visit with him, help harvest seaweed and learn all about the seaweed way of life.

Oh! And I think I would want the Dulse the most. I love eating it straight out of the bag. So do my kids, which is great, since they won’t eat many other veggies!
The variety pack sounds the best since my only experience with seaweed is in sushi.

My mom sprinkles dried nori, kelp and dulse on fish dishes. I love the colors and taste!

I have to embarrassedly admit that the only seaweed I have ever had is what wraps around my sushi. I actually got last months RootZine on cloves and have a huge bag of cloves that I an going to do all the crafts with. But I was going to wait to get my annual subscription because of my lack of knowledge on this amazing…. plant? I was going to read your blog daily to try to get some kelp info.
So I guess I would love to have ANYTHING! It may become a great part of my new all natural/herbal diet for my family.

The trip to the seaweed place and watching the video was delightful. The sounds of the sea was soothing to me but I may have been knocked down if I were there since my balance is not as good as it once was. would love to be a winner of any variety of seaweed. Hello! I’ve been disabled since 1997. Along with my years-old problems some new intense pain has developed. I recently found out it’s from my hips & lower spine deteriorating. I try to eat healthy but I’ve never tried seaweed. Im excited about this contest because i know seaweed’s beneficial. Thank you for the chance to enter this contest.

OMGoodness!!! I grew up in massachusetts and i HATED this stuff as a kid — not cuz of the flavor, but because it was always in the WAY when i was trying to play in the surf!!! when i saw the very first picture of the seaweed and then the pic of the seaweed man and all that seaweed hanging, what memories it brought back! 45 year old memories!!! HEHE if i had known then what i could have done with it … WOW!!!!!

Kristine, I enjoyed the website where it shows how the seaweed is gathered from the sea’s of Maine, and I also enjoyed reading the healthy info on how the different seaweeds can be made up into delicious recipe’s. Eventually, I would like to try all the different types of seaweed, and I would like to experienment with both the raw and cooked recipes. I found this website very enlightening and interesting. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

The seaweed that I think is prettiest is the digitata. It looks like beautiful bronze ribbons!
The Variety pack is what I would choose as you can sample many different seaweeds. And the soup pack sounds so tasty!
