I enjoy Ellen’s books so much! Her information is accurate, rituals simple and beautiful, and the covers are always fascinating. My daughter loves her copy of “Walking the World in Wonder” so much that I’d like a second copy for my little boy. She uses hers as her working spellbook, writing in the margins, and drawing pictures. I know my son will do the same. Thank you, Ellen. You are a blessing to the spiritual community.

Huia is 4. Yesterday she made Elderflower champagne (it is spring in the far south New Zealand), used a plantain poultice tied on with native flax to heal a cut in the weekend. Soon we will be camping out harvesting St Johns wort and yarrow. It would be great to have a kids specific herbal with roots deep in herbalism from our European ancestry, Huia is learning many native Maori plants so it will be cool to learn story’s about the “introduced” plants that arrived with the early settlers such as hawthorn, rosehips, mugwort… connecting to place, re connecting to our past.
