We hope that you have found some Sumac on your adventures this month. Today, we’re drying some leaves to use in poultices. Poultices are made by using raw materials. Some people have used poultices to aid with infections, boils, abscesses, inflammation, and bug stings. Sumac leaves are also great for stopping bleeding and drawing tissues together. Simply make a paste to apply to the skin either by chewing the leaves or mashing them with a mortar and pestle. What has been your experience with poultices?
