Pick some Blackberry leaves and make a few rubbings of them. You may notice even more fully just how deeply veined and intricate they are when held up close. I remember loving to make leaf rubbings as a child. All of a sudden, with a some paper and a crayon, the leaf seemed to come alive on the page right before my eyes! Now, I get to share in making rubbings with my children. I love watching their eyes light up when the leaf begins to appear. It is a fun and wonderful way to identify herbs, flowers, plants, and trees. What would you do with a leaf rubbing?
