July 2014 – Bodacious Borage


The heat of summer brings on the abundance of Borage, a wonderfully cooling plant that is a welcome addition to summertime fare. Native to Europe, this beautiful blue starflower has easily naturalized in North America. He is best known for giving courage and so is used for those suffering from grief, depression and sadness though there are many more uses for this delightful herb.


This month we’ll dive into the world of Borage and learn all about his uses through medicine, food and flower essences.
