Kiva Rose of the Medicine Woman’s Roots has written a wonderful review of Herbal Roots zine. Read it here on her blog. For those of you who don’t know Kiva, she is one of the co-founders of the Traditions in Western Herbalism Conference that is happening September 17 – 19 in New Mexico. There are still tickets available so if you’re interested, you can still join in. There is an amazing line up of herbalists teaching such as John Gallagher, Jim McDonald, Darcey Blue French, Rosemary Gladstar, Phyllis Light, Paul Bergner, Matt Wood, Charles Garcia and many, many more!

Do you live in a northern climate? If so, you may be able to harvest some rose hips now! If not, scout out the woodland areas for developing rose hips. They will be ready to harvest after the first frost!
