April 27 Calendar Entry

Do you know how to write a haiku? Haikus are a form of Japanese poetry that does not rhyme. Instead, it sets a mood or portrays a feeling or scenery. Haikus are a great way to write about herbs!  They generally have 5 syllables on the first line, 7 on the second and 5 on the third.

I wrote this haiku about comfrey:

Comfrey is great green
manure for feeding and
heating compost piles.

I’d love to see your haikus! Share them in the comments if you’ve written any about comfrey.
