February 15, 2013 Calendar Entry

For a couple of weeks, we have been learning about some of the ways to use Onions. One of the best experiences I have had with Onion is growing it myself in my own backyard. I loved watching it bloom. It has been fairly nice in our Zone 5. We have been able to walk around our property to find the fruit trees and berry bushes budding. The perennials are shooting up out of the ground. My mind has been wandering thinking of sowing seeds and bulbs. I hope to plant Onion again this year. For those of you who are living in Zone 7, you do not have to wait. Onions can be started now. If you could plant any type of Onion, which one would you plant?
