Can I get Herbal Roots zine sent to me in print?

Herbal Roots zine is a PDF zine only and we do not have the capabilities at this time to print and mail out issues. You are welcome to print them off yourself or take them to a local printing place. Families are allowed to print off as many copies as are needed for use within their immediate family.

How often is Herbal Roots zine published?

HRz is currently on hiatus from new issues.

I would like to gift some ebooks to my niece/cousin/grandchild/child. Is it possible for the ebooks to go directly to them while I pay for it?

Yes it is! When you purchase, enter the email address of the recipient in the email section. If you are mailing a check, simply include the recipient’s name and email address.

I am new to Herbal Roots zine. Can you send me a free issue to check out before I commit to buying an entire year?

Sure! Simply sign up to receive my weekly newsletter and a free issue will be sent out to you. The newsletter is completely free and is sent out weekly to update you on the latest happenings – from giveaways, to book launches, YouTube videos, and more. The sign up form is on the lefthand side of the screen and you’ll receive a copy of the Cacao issue for signing up.

How can I get ahold of you?

Go to our support page for all our contact information.

Do I have to purchase with a credit card?

Absolutely not! You are welcome to mail us a check or money order, made payable to Herbal Roots zine, to 8801 State Route 162, Troy, IL 62294. As soon as the check clears, we will add you into the system. Please include a printed note with the name and email address that you want the ebooks sent to.

I just purchased a back issue/the entire archive and did not know it was a pdf zine. I was expecting an actual magazine to be mailed to my door. Can I get a refund now that I’ve downloaded it?

I’m sorry but at this time we are not offering refunds on items that have been downloaded. We try to be very forthcoming on this website with the offerings we have. If you have downloaded the file we cannot refund your money.

Hello, I am interested in the curriculum. I homeschool my kids and I am into herbs but it would be really nice to have some direction. Is it the yearly subscription? Or something else?

Is there a way to purchase a subscription as a gift? If so, how is the best way to go about doing that? Thanks!

Looking forward to being able to purchase the 6 years of back issues.

I just treated myself to the 2015 subscription today, will I still get the issue on Bay Laurel? (Fingers crossed lol)

Excited to start receiving my subscription either way! 🙂

OH this looks so amazing and beautiful and is totally something I would buy for myself and my two girls to enjoy together! However I can’t believe I can’t buy it in print ! 🙁 I don’t allow my children to play on a computer, or read on a computer at this point. Im extremely sensitive to EMF’s as well and don’t believe in exposing the kids to them…And this is such a magical thing you are creating I wish we could hold it in our hands and flip pages and pick it up and look at it !! Plus the kids and their excited anticipation of a monthly arriving magazine!!! Is there a way to sign up for a notification when it is finally available to receive in print?

I have nettles all over my property. This is the first time I have harvested them. I don’t like spinach except in dips. I live alone, so I don’t have to please anyone but myself. Nettles seem so good for me, I think it would be stupid not to find a way for me to incorporate them into my diet. I have always been a naturalist at heart, now I can do what I have always wanted to do. A little guidance is all I need. Thank you for anything you can teach me.

    Hi Eileen,

You might be interested in the Nettles issue, I have lots of ways to incorporate them into your diet: https://www.herbalrootszine.com/back-issues-2/2011-archives/may-2011-2/

They are such a nutrient rich herb, and there are many ways to enjoy them from teas and infusions to soups, sautés, and quiches. I hope you find some ways to enjoy them!

    Hi Kristine!

I love your magazine and what you are doing! My personal subscription has recently expired. However, I have just opened up a new herbal apothecary in my small community, and I would love to make these available to the kids that come into the shop, and their parents too.
I vaguely remember seeing something about a commercial subscription, but I can’t find it on your site right now.
Would you please send me a bit more info in that department?
    Thank you!
