March 19, 2013 Calendar Entry
Good morning! Today, if you will turn to page 22 of your zine, you will find “It’s Soothing, Slippery Elm,” a song written by Kristine. We hope that you and your children will enjoy learning and remembering this song! We like creating songs with you. If you want, add some lines to our facebook page or the comments section here on this blog. We would love to read them! Here are the first seven lines (sung to the tune of “It’s a Small World”):
It’s an herb for ulcers
An herb for rash
It’s an herb for coughs
Wounds, burns and a scratch
There’s so much he can heal
That it’s time we appeal
To the Slippery Elm’s inner bark.
