May 19 – Herbal Calendar
Who likes limericks? One of my favorite parts about writing Herbal Roots is the songs and poems section! This month, I played around with writing a limerick about peppermint:
Peppermint is good for what ails
In the tummies of girls and males
If something’s feeling funny
Infuse and add honey
I promise it never fails!
I know, I know, don’t quit my day job, right?! Let’s see if you can do better! Post your own Peppermint limerick in the comments. Here are the rules of writing a limerick:
A limerick is a verse of five lines, usually humorous. The last word of lines one, two, and five must rhyme with each other, and the last word of lines three and four must rhyme with each other. (And not with lines 1,2 and 3).
Now, have fun and share!
Peppermint sweets,
Peppermint treats,
Peppermint spures,
Peppermint cures,
Peppermint meets
Peppermint sweets for the sweet,
Peppermint treats for a treat,
Peppermint spurs emotion,
Peppermint cures take notion,
Peppermint meets devotion.
Not as good as your but I took a crack at it.
I goofed. I see the last line should of rhyme
with the second line in my second attempt,
to explain the first attempt.
lol flassie! i enjoyed your limericks all the same. 🙂
