Osha – Issue 131

$7.99

Description

Out of all the endangered plants that I have written about, Osha has the strongest pull on my heart. This medicine, known as Bear Medicine, is powerful and effective in ways that I haven’t found other plants to be as profound or effective. My favorite uses include histamine reactions such as pet dander (and it’s equally good for those who have dairy allergies and need some quick help after accidentally ingesting some) and for high altitude sickness. Osha is probably best known for his use for the respiratory system and it’s no wonder because he is quite effective for helping to warm and dry up cold, phlemy lungs, coughs, and other respiratory complaints. Osha is also useful for various digestive and women’s reproductive issues as well.

Happily, more research and studies are being done on Osha to determine the best ways of cultivation. Unlike most other plants, Osha is VERY particular about where he grows and unfortunately, this is one plant I cannot grow here in the midwest as he needs the high altitude to survive and thrive.

Learn all about Osha in this issue of Herbal Roots zine.
